To God’s holy people in Faith Lutheran Church,
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
I found the above verse in Proverbs when I was looking for inspiration regarding our own Faith Lutheran Preschool. We all should be inspired by our pre-school. It is one of the best missions that we offer at Faith Lutheran Church.
At our last voter’s meeting, we approved a motion to serve more families in Collierville by expanding our pre-school. We decided to invite more children! The people of Faith Lutheran Church clearly see the need to provide an early Christian education for younger children! We voted this way with good reason. Below is an excerpt from Luke.
People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”
We have an opportunity placed before us to expand our Pre-School and reach out to more children and families in our community. This opportunity will need our prayers, participation, and resources. It will take almost $50,000 to renovate Sunday School classrooms and construct the required secure entrances.
Our campaign to raise these funds will start October 1st and last through April 30th. The children and families of the pre-school will join us in the effort. You will soon see more communication about the expansion and campaign progress.
Please give prayerful consideration to making an additional contribution, beyond your normal Sunday offering, to the pre-school expansion campaign. Your check should be written to Faith Lutheran Church and note “preschool expansion” in the memo line. For the technologically adept, a PayPal link will soon be available on our website.
This is an exciting time for our church and our pre-school! Let’s all join together and participate in our campaign to bring the children to Jesus!
